Money was tight in my house so the idea that my parents bought all that stuff was harder to believe than Santa Claus, a sleigh and reindeer. When my kids started asking I'd say, "So who do you think buys all that? Us???" They'd think for a minute and say, "Oh yeah, that's right. Must be Santa." See being a mean parent has benefits! Love the beauty of your words. I had to highlight all the text just to see it. Sorry my computer is acting crazy! :(<br /><br />Great post though. I also believe in the MAGIC of Christmas and the MAGIC of Santa. Even as a kid, sure I loved getting all the gifts, but it was the feeling of Christmas and the feeling of Santa that I looked forward to all year long. I love stories of your family, you are all such good people!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07327825941987915950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-967250869641658585.post-10227616498500855882010-12-06T03:45:03.465-08:002010-12-06T03:45:03.465-08:00What wonderful stories, Jfer. I too have a brother who is much younger (almost 9 years) and even though my sister and I had never believed in Santa (long story, she found out early on and told me so I have no memories of actually believing) we kept it up for Scott. It was such a wonderful experience to create that magic for him. Then when my kids came along I had fun making it real for them. Sadly my 13 year old figured it out a few years ago and couldn't wait to reveal his findings to his siblings. It kind of did take something special out of the experience, both for the kids and for me because I enjoyed doing it so much. Ah well, they grow up. :(Cleanaturaladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07397043118539290692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-967250869641658585.post-15055594417104792822010-12-05T15:26:02.621-08:002010-12-05T15:26:02.621-08:00Hey, wait a minute...
