31 Day Blog Challenge - Day Two

Today's topic is Favorite Quote(s)
Quotes speak to me. I know they speak to everyone, but I'm such a word nerd and I just really enjoy a quote that's put together nicely. Some people are inspired when they read "Carpe Diem" or "Today is the first day of the rest of your life". Not me. I like the quirky, unconventional stuff that you don't find splattered all over the internet.

Here are a few of my favorites:

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." -Abraham Lincoln
"Something is wrong when we claim to love Christ yet fail to love others." -Ed Stetzer and Philip Nation
"It's a fool that looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart." -George Clooney as Ulysses Everett McGill in 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'
"If you don't want anyone to find out, don't do it." -Chinese Proverb
"I believe in Christianity like I believe in the sun--not because I can see it, but by it I can see everything else." -C.S. Lewis

Tell me, what are some of your favorite quotes?

  1. I love that you quoted O Brother, Where Art Thou.

One of my top ten quotes is:
Please be patient, God is not finished with me yet.

Not sure who originally said it, but I first heard it as a teenager at a conference by a man named Bill Gothard.
